I recently had lunch at an Italian restaurant. A waitress served a bag of bread together with olive oil and vinegar which aroused my curiosity about how to eat properly.
Since I am way close to bread with butter which is ubiquitous among restaurants in Thailand but I know nothing about the Italian culinary culture pouring olive oil on top of a sliced bread or dipping a bite-sized bit of bread into olive oil saucer. Then, I did not hesitate to search the internet for the skeptical issue.
I found out the Italians have their customs for eating bread with a light drizzle of olive oil and yesss no BUTTER! hehe and one thing in the sense of etiquette they do not sponge the whole piece of bread into olive oil instead break off a bit of bread which is reasonable for avoiding double dipping as a communal dining.
woohoo I am so much fun today
Bye for now :)
